Read More" The academic world of communication is bracing for new knowledge from India. The vast reservoir of knowledge that the country has is astounding to all others in the ever-changing world. With a view to espouse the cause of communication theories enunciated in the ancient Indian knowledge system and offer new frontiers for Indian thinking, the need for an institution was felt several years ago. The seeds were sown several years ago at Viswa Bharati. Now the idea has developed into a full-fledged organization, the Indian Communication Congress. Initial pangs of establishment were there. As a person who discussed the venture with like- minded academicians, I can vouchsafe for the obstacles encountered. However, the dedicated group of people engaged in the task the ICC has made it a reality. Their sincere and steady efforts have already paid high dividends. It has already shown the signs of enormous progress that it can make. The scholars at the helm of affairs are enthusiastic and dedicated to the cause they have chosen. I wish the Indian Communication Congress a very bright future. My wholehearted support to everyone involved. "
" For long Communication,Media and Journalism faculty and practitioners in our country needed a national level platform for various reasons. Especially, guiding young members for quality practice and teaching was the felt need for improving the practical field. For long we tried to establish such a platform for better future of the field. Now that it has been gradually taking shape for last three years under an able team, I am assured of taking forward the task in hand. I would like this platform to participate meaningfully in policy making level and modernising curriculum with Indian Knowledge System as thrust. "
